My journey to helping you
My journey in wellness is deeply intertwined with my personal experiences, which began 30 years ago after a profound, life changing spiritual experience on Vancouver Island that transformed my perspective on humanity and healing. I grew up understanding the profound impact of emotional neglect, a silent form of trauma that leaves its mark subtly but significantly. My family rarely spoke about feelings; we were either angry, neutral, or happy – nothing in between. This emotional suppression led me to a point in my life where I was severely depressed, especially after the tragic loss of my younger brother, who took his life at the age of 30.
During this period of intense grief and confusion, a friend and I decided to seek solace in the natural beauty of Vancouver Island, where we went oyster picking. It was here, amidst the serene landscapes and the rhythmic sounds of the ocean, that I began to understand the healing power of nature and self-reflection. This experience marked a turning point in my life. I realized that wellness is not just about physical health but also about nurturing our emotional and spiritual well-being.
I began meditating and then studying and practising various spiritual modalities. I learned to release my suppressed emotions, subconscious blocks and traumas. Friends noticed how much I had changed and wanted to learn more about what I was doing. People started asking me for help.
Initially, I doubted my ability to assist others, grappling with my struggles. This period of introspection and doubt was critical, as it led to a rapid and transformative change within me. I began teaching meditation, embracing my natural inclination towards guiding others in their paths to wellness. My studies in Instinctive Feng Shui and Interior Alignment and Shamanic Healing opened new avenues, enabling me to blend my interior design skills with spiritual practices in my business, Stelte Design, designing for the soul.
The turning point in my career came when I delved into various healing modalities. My explorations in Shamanism, Shamanic healing, Reiki, 5 Elements Acupressure and Hurqalya Healing were not just academic pursuits but pathways to deeper understanding and empathy. Through these practices, I discovered my unique ability to resonate with and heal others, particularly mature women who had already embarked on their paths of self-discovery and personal work. My approach evolved to focus on these women, helping them go deeper than they had before to access and release subconscious wounds and traumas, and empowering them to live more fulfilled lives.
My first book, written four years ago, marked another significant milestone in my journey. It encapsulated my insights and experiences, resonating with many who sought deeper meaning and purpose in their lives. This book was more than just a compilation of knowledge; it was a testament to my journey from a designer of spaces to a healer of souls.
Today, I stand as a beacon of hope and transformation. My story is a powerful reminder that change and growth are continuous processes. My work with my clients is not just about healing; it’s about empowering them to uncover their purposes, confront their resistances, and embrace their true selves. The strength and depth of my practice lie in my empathetic approach and my unwavering commitment to helping my clients journey deeper than they ever thought possible, so they can rise to the heights of their being beyond their dreams.
